Right now, I don't accept advertising or sponsored posts on my blog – and I hope to be able to keep it that way, because I think it makes for a better experience for my readers. It means what I write is never bought and paid for by anyone except my biggest fans. Also, I believe there is a lack of accessible, positive, entertaining information about how to make greener travel choices (choices that cause the least environmental damage, without taking away the joy of travel). That's why it's part of my mission to fill that hole. Some of my blog posts are light and fun, and don't require any heavy reporting. But my sustainability coverage is not in that category – I draw on years of experience and two degrees (a Bachelor's in Journalism and a Master's in Sustainable Business and Energy) to do extensive research and interview experts for these blog posts. This takes time, and currently the only source of funding I have through my blog to cover this work is an occasional affiliate sale. So if you find my sustainable travel tips, cultural interpretation, restaurant and book recommendations, or stories useful, then I'd greatly appreciate if you choose to buy me a coffee.
