Lillian Cuda

My work is a mash-up of all my interests, including: folklore & mythology, strega witchcraft, animals, intersectional feminism, 90s magical girl nostalgia, political & social issues, gardening, science fiction & horror, and historical fashion. I also have big love for crochet and amigurumi! I mainly work with traditional media, but have started practicing with digital art, and I also studied Fashion Design and Manufacture (Cert IV). My experiences with chronic pain and physical illness influence my works heavily. My art is mostly a way to express all the good in the world I want to see and experience. Crochet has been a great mindfulness exercise helping me to deal with my pain and contribute positively to my mental health while ill. My medical costs average to $600+/month, and my conditions can't be cured... yet *fingers crossed*. I suffer from Endometriosis, severe IBS, sciatica from a lumbar disc protrusion, scoliosis, anxiety, OCD, and depression. Any donations will also allow me to create more work, which is an important escape for me. So all donations are hugely appreciated! xo
