Thanks to a very generous person, I already have about $150 towards a new PC! That's more than enough for a hard drive for sure, so I can extend the life on this old junk while I work towards the rest. I'm told at least $700 ~ $800 is necessary for a future-ready computer - any cheaper and they won't be compatible with contemporary upgrades. Thank you very much for your support!
