Hello and welcome to the world of Emynea and its story, In Their Shadows! This is a fantasy world with a hard magic system but with a twist: Emynea was once our own world. I could also say there is a second twist—darkness isn't the grand evil. This story will be a long one and the magic will be very prevalent. Every lifeform on Emynea and the land itself possesses elemental magic! This story will start out as a typical fantasy, with a few traces of modernity, but as it continues it will touch on different genres. The main character and the world itself will see different phases and eras, some bright and inspiring and others dark and brutal. It will even become a sci-fi fantasy towards the end! I intend to making the story and its characters very diverse including LGBTQ+ and neuro-divergent themes and representation. This will also be a bit mature in various ways including gore/violence, swearing, TW, sexual themes. This story is very personal to me and got me through my own brutal darkness and I hope it might uplift and bring enjoyment to others who have or might be going through similar experiences. Benefits here will range from early access to chapters (when not on hiatus) to taking requests for subplots and even commissioning extra content (one-shots!) and characters for cameos or even major roles within the story! I will also be posting the AI art and any art I make myself on this page. The story will also be quite long so there is always room for more characters and adventures between the pillars/anchors that will guide the tale!
