Summit of the Big Low

Hi I'm Toby and I release chilled indie-folk music under the name Summit of the Big Low - think Elliott Smith meets Zero 7, Bon Iver mixed with Fleet Foxes or Nick Drake vs The Beta Band. Or you can just take a listen at SOTBL.COM or Spotify/Apple/Bandcamp etc. I have a new record about to come out, wanted to try something new and found Ko-fi. I've set up a shop with bits and pieces from my previous record like CDs/Vinly and will be releasing a series of limited edition signed posters featuring artwork from the forthcoming album (illustrated by my friend Lucy Pook). The posters will include codes to stream my new record early and allow you to download the album for free when it is released. I've also set up some membership tiers which also offer early access to the new album, as well as behind the scenes and exclusive video content, discounts in the store and some other cool perks. Go and take a peak what's on offer and if you fancy joining me on the journey of a folktronica music maker, independently releasing a record while writing the next, then I'd be very honoured to have you along for the ride. If you need more convincing I'll leave you with some nice things people have said about the music... "The audio equivalent of golden hour. Just beautiful, hazy, summery vibes... and I’m a little bit obsessed with it.” - Abbie McCarthy (BBC Introducing / BBC Radio Kent) “Take a deep breath, release, relax… I think it's absolutely gorgeous" - Tony Moore (Soho Radio) "It’s simply beautiful! I like the vibe as it reminds me of songs from artists I admire (Jose Gonzales and John Martin)." - Ola Szmidt (Fresh on the net) “A blissed out yet bouncy slice of sublime Folktronica.” - Rock & Load magazine "Acoustic guitar work is sublime and evocative with keys giving a lush wash to everything. A lovely, atmospheric album that just about every music fan can relate to.” - Velvet Thunder Magazine
