What comes to mind when you see the band names Pepper, Iration, The Movement and Stick Figure? A good guess is Beaches, Sunshine, Bikinis and Festivals. Well there is a similar reggae vibe coming straight out of Colorado! Weege is a reggae artist with roots all over Colorado and Northern California. Weege’s brand of reggae-ish music drives home the essence of soul, love and hope akin to artists like UB40, Michael Franti and Bob Marley. Weege is the brainchild of Luigi Casaretto and the artist's name is also his childhood nickname. He partnered with Mark LeBlanc Jr in 2017 and they have been adding talented musicians from all across the state of Colorado. When mentioned in the same breath as other artists, Luigi often directs the attention on influential music of his upbringing and in his own words states “The fearlessness of being unorthodox is something to be reckoned with as a songwriter, it’s also what drives me as a songwriter.” Weege and his band of musical misfits believe they have an advantage in this genre because their music is substantiated by years of experience, results and compassion. In addition to their ingrained network of loyal fans, they pride on making the listener experience something lyrically and rhythmically enticing. By cultivating real relationships with fans and digging into the core of the human element, Weege finds the connection with everyday people to be effortless and therapeutic. “It’s also calming to find many of us are not alone in our own personal struggles and can connect because of that reason.” But it’s not all doom, much of the positivity is rooted in real life achievements and a true comeback story that anyone can relate to. This mission started back in 2002 when he founded a pioneering reggae rock band called 880 South, a top billed performer in the inaugural 2010 California Roots Festival held in Monterey, California. In 2020, Weege was featured on Top Shelf Music and started releasing new singles, EPs and music videos. A new single, “Get Your Head Straight” will be released in 2022 which was co-produced by co-writers Mark LeBlanc Jr, Luigi Casaretto and Blaine Dillinger. Weege has spent most of 2022 planning to launch his own songwriting think-tank and record label with the ambition to help vocally centric artists like himself to self produce, market and release their own music. Weege is performing at festivals, touring, releasing music videos and 10 new singles will be released in a monthly cadence and will be streaming on all platforms.

In addition funds will be used to support the band for live music & touring. eg: gas money, hotel, touring expenses
